Description
Diamond bit For Rock
1.Product introduction
Polycrystalline Diamond Compact bit (PDC bit for short). It is formed by using polycrystalline diamond (thin round sheet) to make small cutting blocks and inlaying or sintering them onto the bit body. It is mainly used in soft to medium hard strata.
At the beginning of last century, roller bits were used in hard abrasive formations instead of scraper bits. However, the main disadvantage of this kind of bits in drilling shale and other plastic formations is that the bottomhole mud pocket is caused by the pressure holding effect. With the increase of drilling depth, bottomhole pressure and mud proportion, the mud pocket phenomenon will become more serious. In order to solve this problem, various bit manufacturers have made various improvements to the cone bit over the years, but little effect has been achieved. Considering that scraper bit or fixed cutting tooth bit is less affected in this respect, people began to try to combine the two kinds of bits. With the popularization and application of PDC bits and the improvement of PDC cutting tooth technology, fixed cutting tooth PDC bits gradually replace cone bits in various formations. However, in hard, abrasive formations and complex directional drilling operations, PDC bits cannot replace cone bits due to performance limitations.
Common specifications are 75mm, 90mm, 110mm, 130mm, 150mm, 170mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, etc
